I decided to combine both King Runs on one page because we had

just a few pictures of each for various reasons.  Enjoy!

WNATV Ride 5 – King Run(Wednesday, June 16, 2010)Sponsored by:  G. J. Mechanical

The ride was sponsored by G J Mechanical who is noted for their works with steel. The 7 riders who participated were in fact men of steel. Forgetting
that the weatherman said torrential rains was to come, this sturdy group of 7 left the parking area in a light drizzle. As the ride progressed the rain
got a little harder and harder as we stopped at Mosquito Creek and at the hunt camp. Lunch was held under the protection of a branchy spruce tree.
From there we still managed to see the beautiful maple and yellow birch stand of trees on the alternate trail. As the ride progressed the latter part of
the trail got harder as any low areas filled with water. We did, however, find a pair of prescription sunglasses that a fellow member had lost on the
cleanup ride the week before. The King Ride is rated a 4 but on June 16th, it had to be a 5. We all had to check our feet at the end of the ride to see
if they weren’t webbed. With all of this the whole group had a great time.

WNATV Ride 6 – King Run(Saturday, June 19, 2010)Sponsored by:  Sturgeon Falls Auto Sports & Marine

The ride was sponsored by Sturgeon Falls Auto Sports & Marine. There were 19 riders and 16 ATVs who participated, lots of new commers.
The Weather network called for Thunderstorms and everyone was prepared for it.  Just as we were getting ready to leave it started to rain,
so everyone put on their rain suits.  We left it was almost 10:00 am, the leader got confused with the reading on his GPS and took a wrong
turn.  Once he realized his mistake he had everyone turn around and backtrack one Kilometer.  The Leader and Tail quickly identified the
wrong turn so we re-grouped and took off.  By then the sun was shinning and everyone put away their rain suites.  The weather was beautiful
the rest of the day.  The ride went very smoothly for most of the day, 3 quarters of the way one of the ATV started to overheat so our Tail guy
and one of the other riders both tied up their ATVs to tow the Honda out to the rest of the way.  This was a miner glitch everyone made it out
safely and with a smiles on their faces.  This ride was a lot of Fun regardless of the Embarassing wrong turn at the beginning...
Thank you everyone for coming out...
