WNATV Ride 16 - Wolf Mountain - Saturday, October 9th, 2010, Sponsored by: Truchon Fuels
Sales
Leader: Norm Shank
Tail: Steve Cerisano
Departure was at 9h30 from abandoned C.N.
railbed north of Hagar. Ten riders showed up for the excursion and one of them
was
a first timer. Weather cooperated favourably as the sun shone brightly although it was a little nippy in the morning. Had
lunch at the mountain top lookout and the view was superb with Fall
colors in full splendour. Group made several stops to and
from,
for scenic colourful photo opportunities and social chit-chats. One of our riders did "irreparable" damage to the
environment
as he drove over a rabbit that was being chased by a fox.
He refused to pick up the road kill as he did not want to be accused of
baiting
the fox. So the fox was ok and got an easy meal. Ha, ha!!! Everyone seemed to fully enjoy this memorable outing.
Returned to the trucks by 4h30. Thanks to all who participated. Happy
trails.
