We left the Blue Demon parking lot at around 9:30 a.m.  There were nine ATV’s at first, but three more joined the group later.  We travelled down the

Turtleshell Lake road and followed that lake up to Gull Lake.  We stopped at some interesting sites to take a break.  One of our members remembered

having worked at a specific place on Gull Lake when he was 17, even spending a winter there to take care of the horses 48 years ago.  We all had lunch

at the Gull Lake beach.  After a good break, we took off again and headed to Lower Bass where we stopped and chatted with a fisherman we know well. 

We then went to Upper Bass and Alan Lake.  On our way back, we had to stop at Rachel Lake.  What a nice spot to take a break.  We travelled down a

gorgeous trail that lead us to a gold mine deposit and then eventually made it to the 805.  We stopped at the Emerald Lake Lodge to say hello to the

hosts, Dene and Gary.  We returned to the parking lot at 4 p.m.  The distance covered on that splendid day was 65 to 70 km.
